About Tosca Roofing, Inc.

Hi, Daniel Tosca here telling the (in a nutshell story) of Tosca Roofing, established in 1982. My Dad ( Enrique "Rick" Tosca ) had been swinging a hammer and driving nails while working for another roofing company when my grandfather, Dr. Carlos Tosca, suggested he should get his roofing license and start his own company. So, after studying for the state exam, he passed it and began the journey.

My dad purchased a 1972 GMC 1/2 ton pickup truck from his father-in-law Charles McGinnis for $600. He bought some hand tools, a shovel, a broom, and an answering machine. One hot summer, his twin brother Carlos Tosca was working with my dad and observed that throwing the roofing debris in the back of the pickup truck, then going to the local landfill and having to pull it out of the back of the truck was working to create work. So my dad went on a limb and purchased a brand new 1-ton dually dump truck, praying he could make the payments. My dad worked on roofs daily; my mom stayed home, raised my two sisters and me, kept the books, and pulled permits.

My first memories of roofing were riding to the "dump" in that white, stinkin' dump truck. It must have been a good truck for a while because I remember hearing those gears grinding as I learned to drive a stick shift when I was pretty young. Fast-forward some years, and the company grew slowly. I went off to play professional baseball for a stint and have been back working in the roofing industry since 2005.

With all the ups and downs and learning experiences in this line of work, we have always strived to do our best, and that's why our longevity in the business shows. Like in any company or trade, we learn daily about improving our company from top to bottom.

Our company has grown to have office staff, marketing, a sales team, in-house dump trailer service, multiple crews, and a repair team. We offer hometown and surrounding counties many types of residential roofing, commercial roofing, and home services. We at Tosca Roofing's motto is "Hard Work plus Teamwork".​
